Renewable Energy Association of Eswatini

About Us

Established in 1998, REAESWA is a registered non-governmental organization dedicated to facilitating access to sustainable energy through the promotion of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. As the only civil society organization in Eswatini working on energy and environmental issues, we provide renewable energy solutions to all societal groups.

Mission

Exists to improve quality of life and to protect the environment through facilitating access to sustainable energy in Eswatini through promotion of renewable energy & energy efficiency, capacity building, research, project development, networking and lobbying.

Vision

Sustainable energy solutions integrated into an empowered society driving poverty reduction and environmental conservation.

Education & Awareness

Ongoing awareness and education on the energy sector in Eswatini schools and communities, funded by Eswatini Energy Regulatory Authority.

Solar Water Pumping

Implementation of solar water pumping for agriculture and drinking water in the Lubombo region, in partnership with COSPE.

Solar Lighting Initiative

Distribution of solar lighting kits to 50 schools around Eswatini, supported by Republic of China on Taiwan.

Cook Stoves Assessment

Monitoring of energy-efficient woodstoves in schools across Eswatini, in partnership with the Energy Department.
